Mining, including oil extraction, requires a specific set of performance characteristics from its piping systems.
Challenging fluid environments detrimentally affect piping material lifetimes in unpredictable and, sometimes, catastrophic ways. At Jana, we work with our Clients to ensure that the piping systems installed to facilitate the extraction or processing of the mined materials will work over the expected life of the installation. This provides a quick and substantial payback for the investment in Jana's work to the operator in uptime and the elimination of environmental or safety impacts of pipeline failure. Just as 'a stitch in time, saves nine', Jana will perform the up front work to develop the basic data necessary to ensure the entire piping system will perform as expected. Further, Jana can develop the Up Front Engineering Package to be handed over to the responsible engineering firm for the overall design.
For existing facilities, Jana can help avoid or eliminate issues from older piping systems by establishing a basis for new operating conditions or preventative maintenance. Repair or replace questions can be addressed objectively through an engineering approach based on data.
